Cookies and local storage

The short version

In short: We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language. Nothing for advertising.

Jwuma sets a small number of cookies, all of which are necessary for the platform to work or to remember a preference you set.

There is no advertising network on this site, no third-party analytics that tracks you across the web, and no data sold to anyone.

That is also why you are not shown a consent banner asking permission for tracking. We do not do any.

What is actually set

In short: A session cookie, a language cookie, and nothing else.

A session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is required for the platform to function and is deleted when your session ends or you sign out.

A language cookie that remembers which of our sixteen languages you chose. It lasts a year and holds nothing but a language code.

Where a page uses browser local storage it is for a per-device convenience such as a remembered filter, and that data never leaves your device.

Third parties

In short: Cloudflare Turnstile checks you are human on some forms. Calendly runs the booking widget on the client site.

Cloudflare Turnstile is used on some public forms to distinguish people from automated submissions. It is a privacy-preserving alternative to a CAPTCHA and does not track you across sites.

On the client-facing site, Calendly powers the booking widget and sets its own cookies when you open it. It is only loaded when you open the dialog, not on page load.

Neither is used for advertising.

Controlling cookies

In short: You can block them in your browser. The sign-in cookie is required, so blocking it means you cannot sign in.

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies. Doing so for this site will sign you out and prevent you signing back in, because the session cookie is how sign-in works.

Blocking the language cookie only means the site defaults to English each visit.
