Who you are contracting with

In short: Jwuma is operated by Corpshore AI, part of Corpshore Solutions. Your work contract is with the Corpshore entity in your own country.

Jwuma is operated by Corpshore AI, the data operations division of Corpshore Solutions Corporation. Use of the platform is governed by these terms.

Where you are engaged to perform paid work, that engagement is with the Corpshore entity registered in your country of residence, under a separate contributor agreement, and under the employment or contracting law of that country. These terms govern your use of the software; that agreement governs your work.

Eligibility

In short: You must be 18 or over, legally able to work where you live, and not in a comprehensively sanctioned territory.

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account.

You must be legally permitted to perform paid work in your country of residence. Determining that is your responsibility, and we will ask you to confirm it.

We cannot accept accounts from comprehensively sanctioned territories. This is enforced at signup and is not something an individual project can override.

One account per person. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold or operated on behalf of someone else. Work submitted from an account is treated as the work of its holder.

Your account

In short: Sign-in is by emailed link. Keep your email secure, because anyone with access to it can access your account.

Access is by single-use link sent to your registered email address. There is no password. This means the security of your account is the security of your email, and you are responsible for keeping that address secure.

Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

We may suspend an account where we have reasonable grounds to believe it is being used fraudulently, is being shared, or is being used to submit work that is not the holder's own. Where we suspend an account we will tell you and give the reason.

Work, quality and payment

In short: Every task shows its rate before you take it. You are paid for work that passes review, and rejections come with a reason and a chance to fix them.

Tasks display their rate before you reserve them. Reserving a task does not oblige you to complete it, but abandoning reservations repeatedly may affect what is offered to you.

Work is reviewed against a rubric that is fixed before the work begins. Accepted work is credited to your ledger immediately on acceptance.

Work that does not meet the rubric is returned with a specific reason and a window in which to correct it. A returned batch is not a penalty.

Payouts are made on a regular batch through the payout methods available in your country. A minimum threshold may apply on rails where the transfer cost would otherwise exceed the payment.

We do not charge you to apply, to qualify, to work, or to be paid. Any request for payment is not from us.

Work product and intellectual property

In short: Work you are paid for belongs to the client. Your account data and your identity remain yours.

Work you produce and are paid for under a task is assigned to Corpshore and, through Corpshore, to the client commissioning it. This is the ordinary arrangement for commissioned data work and is reflected in your contributor agreement.

This does not extend to anything you create outside the platform, and it does not restrict your ability to work elsewhere. There is no exclusivity.

You must not submit work that infringes someone else's rights, that you do not have the right to submit, or that contains personal data about other people unless the task specifically calls for it and you have the necessary permission.

Automated assessment

In short: AI scores interviews and assessments. It never accepts or rejects you. A person makes every decision.

Where you take a recorded or written interview, your answers are assessed by an automated system against a fixed rubric and a score is produced.

That score is provided to a member of staff as an input to their decision. No application is accepted or rejected automatically, and there is no threshold at which the system decides on its own.

You will be told before any assessment that this is how it works, and you must consent before it happens.

You may ask for a human review of any decision that involved an automated score, and ask us to explain the basis of it. Write to us and we will respond.

Acceptable use

In short: Do the work yourself, honestly. Do not use automation to complete tasks, and do not try to game quality checks.

You must complete tasks yourself. Delegating your account, using another person to complete work on your behalf, or using automated tools to generate task responses is a breach of these terms.

You must not attempt to identify gold-set or quality-control items in order to treat them differently from ordinary work.

You must not attempt to access data, projects or accounts you have not been given access to.

Behaviour in community spaces is governed by the community rules, which form part of these terms.

Ending your account

In short: You can leave whenever you want. We can close an account for a breach, and will tell you why.

You may close your account at any time by writing to us. Earnings already accrued will be paid on the next batch.

We may close or suspend an account for a material breach of these terms. Where we do, we will tell you the reason, and any earnings for work already accepted remain payable.

Nothing here removes rights you have under the law of your own country, which take precedence where they conflict with these terms.

Liability

In short: We provide the platform as it is, and our liability is limited, but not for things the law does not allow us to limit.

The platform is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and declared incidents are published on our status page.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

In short: We will tell you before a material change, not after.

We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations we will notify you in advance through the platform and by email, and the date at the top of this page will change.

Continuing to use the platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
