Generalist annotation is the broadest work on the platform and the usual entry point. Categorising text, drawing bounding boxes, tagging objects, checking whether a response answers the question asked, comparing two outputs and saying which is better.
No specialist background is needed. What the work rewards is care, consistency and the discipline to keep applying a rubric the same way at task four hundred as at task four. Many contributors start here and move into a specialism once their track record shows where their judgement is strongest.

What you would be doing
- Apply project rubrics consistently across text, image and audio tasks
- Meet the quality threshold on each project you qualify for
- Flag unclear instructions instead of guessing at intent
- Act on reviewer feedback
What we need from you
- Strong reading comprehension in English
- Attention to detail over long sessions
- A reliable internet connection and a device you can work on comfortably
- Ability to follow a written rubric precisely, including its edge cases
- Willingness to have your work reviewed, and to act on that review
Helpful, not required
- Previous annotation, transcription, moderation or research experience
- Comfort with spreadsheets or annotation tooling
- A subject you know unusually well, whatever it is
