Quality Assurance Reviewer

QA is the layer that makes the rest of the platform trustworthy. You review submitted work against a frozen rubric, accept what meets the standard, and send back what does not with a reason specific enough to act on.

The judgement that matters most is distinguishing a contributor error from a rubric that was ambiguous in the first place. Rejecting a batch of people for following unclear instructions is both unfair and useless, and recognising that pattern and escalating it is part of the role rather than an exception to it.

QA decisions are recorded and reviewable. Nothing is rejected without a reason attached.

What you would be doing

• Review submissions against the project rubric and accept or return them
• Write rejection reasons a contributor can actually act on
• Escalate rubric ambiguity rather than penalising people for it
• Keep your own review consistency measurable

What we need from you

• A strong track record on the task type you are reviewing
• Ability to give direct feedback without being discouraging
• A reliable internet connection and a device you can work on comfortably
• Ability to follow a written rubric precisely, including its edge cases
• Willingness to have your work reviewed, and to act on that review

Helpful, not required

• Previous QA, editing or marking experience
• Experience calibrating a team to a standard
• Previous annotation, transcription, moderation or research experience
• Comfort with spreadsheets or annotation tooling
• A subject you know unusually well, whatever it is
