Transcription for AI training is stricter than transcription for reading. Disfluencies, false starts, overlapping speech and code-switching all matter, because a cleaned-up transcript teaches a model that people speak more tidily than they do.

What you would be doing

• Transcribe audio to the project's convention, including disfluency handling
• Tag speaker changes, overlaps and inaudible segments accurately
• Mark code-switching where the project requires it
• Keep timing accurate to the project tolerance

What we need from you

• Native or near-native listening comprehension in the target language
• Accurate, fast typing
• A reliable internet connection and a device you can work on comfortably
• Ability to follow a written rubric precisely, including its edge cases
• Willingness to have your work reviewed, and to act on that review

Helpful, not required

• Previous transcription or captioning experience
• Familiarity with a specific accent or dialect region
• Previous annotation, transcription, moderation or research experience
• Comfort with spreadsheets or annotation tooling
• A subject you know unusually well, whatever it is
