Evaluate model output on politics, institutions, elections and public policy, where neutrality is the hard part.
Political content is where models most visibly fail at even-handedness. The work is assessing whether a description of a party, movement, institution or policy is accurate and proportionate, whether contested claims are presented as contested, and whether the framing itself carries a position the model has not declared.
This role requires the discipline to evaluate against evidence rather than your own politics, including on questions where you hold a firm view. That is the skill being hired for.

What you would be doing
- Assess political and policy content for accuracy and proportionality
- Identify framing that carries an undeclared position
- Check that contested claims are presented as contested
- Write reference answers that stay defensible across the spectrum
What we need from you
- A degree, or equivalent depth, in politics, international relations, public policy or law
- Demonstrable ability to separate analysis from personal position
- A reliable internet connection and a device you can work on comfortably
- Ability to follow a written rubric precisely, including its edge cases
- Willingness to have your work reviewed, and to act on that review
Helpful, not required
- Research, journalism, civil service or think tank experience
- Regional specialism
- Previous annotation, transcription, moderation or research experience
- Comfort with spreadsheets or annotation tooling
- A subject you know unusually well, whatever it is
