The application, what we look at and what happens after you send it.
Apply from the platform with your email address, where you live, the languages you work in and a CV if you have one. Applying creates your account at the same time, so there is nothing separate to sign up for afterwards.
Your application is waiting to be decided, and until it is, you cannot sign in. That is the only reason a sign-in link will not arrive for a new account, and nothing is wrong with your email address. When a decision is made we write to the same address you applied with.
No. A second application for an address we already have cannot be accepted, and it does not make the first one move any faster. If you applied some time ago and have heard nothing at all, write to support with the address you used rather than applying again.
There is no fixed number of days for either. Some applications include a scored interview, where your answers are read against a fixed rubric partly by an automated system, but a person always makes the final decision and a rejection always carries their reason. How long that takes depends on how many applications are ahead of yours, not on a timetable we can quote. When a decision is made we write to the email address you applied with, so there is nothing to do but wait and check that inbox.
Mainly the languages you work in, the kinds of work your background suits, and where you are, because projects need particular combinations of those. A CV helps because it is read to understand your languages and domains, not to judge your formatting. There is no qualification anybody needs in order to be accepted.
A CV is not required but it helps. It is read to pick out the languages you speak, the subjects you have worked in and the tools you have used, and those are shown back to you so you can correct them. What you confirm yourself is what the platform uses, not what was read.
A declined application is a decision a person made, and it is usually about the fit between your background and the projects running rather than anything about you. What is running changes, so applying again in future is not forbidden, but applying again immediately with the same details is unlikely to reach a different answer.
Your email address is how you sign in and how everything reaches you, so it can only be changed by asking support, and only once we are confident you are the person who owns the account. Do not apply again with a different address to work around it: that creates a second application that cannot be accepted.
Being told about Jwuma by somebody does not change how your application is assessed. Nobody can get you accepted, move you up a queue or arrange work for you, and anybody claiming they can, for a fee or otherwise, is not acting for Jwuma.
