What differs by country: payment methods, documents and availability.
It depends on the projects running, because projects need particular languages and locations. Where we cannot currently take somebody, the application will say so rather than leaving it open. Availability changes as projects start and close.
Payment methods depend on what can lawfully and reliably reach an account where you live, and that genuinely differs. The methods open to you are the ones shown on the How you get paid page. Anything shown as not yet available cannot be selected until it is.
Ask for your country to be updated, because it decides which rooms you are in and which payment methods are open to you. It goes through a request rather than being editable directly, since it affects how you are paid. Your work and earnings are not affected.
No. A national identity card or a driving licence is accepted. Documents without a machine-readable zone, which most national cards lack, always wait for a person to look at them rather than being checked automatically, so they can take longer.
Tell support which language and we will note it. Whether it appears depends on whether a project needs it, so it is not added on request alone, but demand for a language is exactly the information that decides what we take on.
Your account is tied to where you live rather than where you happen to be. Some projects are restricted to particular locations and those will not be available from elsewhere. If you have moved permanently, update your country rather than leaving it as it was.
Do not. Where you appear to be is one of the signals used to confirm an account is being used by the person it belongs to, and a location that contradicts your account creates a problem you then have to resolve. It does not unlock work that is not available to you.
A country room is created the first time somebody from that country arrives, so if yours does not exist yet it will as soon as it is needed. You are added to it automatically and only people who live there are in it.
Not for most work, since tasks are taken when you want them. A few kinds of work are tied to a time, such as a live session or a field visit, and those state their requirements before you take them on.
Rates are set per project and per kind of work rather than by country, and reflect what the work involves. What differs by country is which projects are available to you, which is why two people can see different work and different amounts of it.
